THE ROLE OF INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT
a) Provide technical support for heads of departments/sections and administrators.
b) Provide helpdesk and end-user support to enable students and staff use ICT effectively.
c) Provide infrastructural support for Virtual Learning Environment(VLEs)
d) Improve teaching and learning through use of innovation Learning Technologies(ILTs)
e) Centrally manage the institution’s IMIS systems to facilitate planning and decision making
f) Extend access to learning through e-learning support for distance learning
g) Integrate administrative and MIS systems
h) Support researches by providing access to online resources and training on relevant courses
i) Provide office productivity tools and facilities
j) Maintain efficient and effective ICT services at prescribed level and standards
k) Ensure e-waste disposal in accordance with socially acceptable environmental guidelines
l) Ensure security of systems as per institution’s policy
m) Protect systems against fraud and damage
o) Sustain training and capacity building programmes to enable end use realize maximum benefits
from ICT
p) Ensure provision of Internet services to institution
q) Maintenance of CCTV Cameras
