KNP Strategic Plan 2023-2028: A New Era of Skills Development and Innovation
Kisii National Polytechnic (KNP) officially unveiled its Strategic Plan 2023-2028, a comprehensive five-year blueprint aimed at transforming the institution into a world-class Centre of excellence in technical and vocational education and training. The plan, developed through extensive stakeholder consultation, is anchored on the vision of becoming a world-class polytechnic in training, research, and innovation that responds to market needs, with a mission to develop competent and innovative human resource responsive to market demands. Aligned with Kenya's Vision 2030, the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), and international frameworks including the UN Sustainable Development Goals and African Union's Agenda 2063, the strategic plan prioritises three key goals: promoting access and inclusivity in training, enhancing quality and relevance in training, and improving governance and accountability. To achieve these goals, KNP will focus on twelve Key Result Areas including infrastructure development, ICT integration, research and innovation, curriculum development, human resource management, and partnerships and linkages.
