Industrial Attachment
The students will undertake a credit-earning industrial attachment (internship) in a market research focused firm or in a research department of a commercial organization for a minimum period of eight weeks. The attachment will be expected to give the intern an opportunity to put into practice the various market research principles and techniques; acquire work experience and learn new research skills; and to appreciate and understand work environment demands and expectation
General Objectives.
By the end of the Industrial attachment period, the trainee should be able to:
- Understand the constraints of working life and functional relationships within and between organizations
- Appreciate the importance of human relations and work attitudes
- Develop procedural knowledge towards work processes
- Apply theoretical concepts and school based skills to practice
- Develop work attitudes like curiosity, self-confidence, maturity and self-reliance
- Obtain knowledge of potential careers and develop new areas of interest
